Tynyrheol Primary School is a very welcoming school at the heart of its community in the village of Llangeinor in the Garw Valley. We are a friendly small school, and this allows us to really know our pupils’ strengths and areas for improvement. We have very supportive parents, and pupils who are eager to learn. We have a strong pupil voice with the pupils having a direct say in the topics they choose to learn. We teach pupils through multi-age classes, Ty Nant in the juniors and Gelli in the Foundation Phase. This structure allows us the freedom to focus on skills development in our mission room and through our continuous and enhanced provision. We have a full time nursery and children can start the term after their third birthday.
As a school we pride ourselves on being fully inclusive and creating lifelong learners. We fully embrace the skill based curriculum ensuring pupils are given every opportunity to be independent learners and fulfill their potential.
